Take a Moment to Thank Her

She brought us into this world. She picked us up when we cried. She held us in her arms and rocked us to sleep. She fed us from her bosom. All of this when we were so tiny and vulnerable; yet we were so young that none of this remains in our conscious memory. Trust me it happened and we all should be thankful for it.

This is the time for each one of us to pick up that telephone and make that call and let her know that we still care. If she has gone onto a better place just lift your eyes to the heavens and let her know she is not forgotten. A simple card with a few words scrawled across the bottom makes all the difference in the world. They need to hear from us they need to know that we care.

For many of us it has been far too long since we have taken the time to reach out and let them know that we care. Sadly the years go by and we never stop to think just why it is that we are not talking. Not that it should really matter, but this the time where you let bygones be bygones and set aside whatever petty drama you let creep into your life and just say “I am sorry”.

There is no need to dwell on the times when each of us have come up short; this is a time to remember the little things that mean so much and shaped us into what we are today. Starting to day we have a fresh new beginning and whether she is in heaven or still with us here on Earth we shall take the time to wish them well.
